In the capital city Pyongyang there is the Pyongyang Corn Processing Factory which turns out different kinds of processed corn products. The factory is associated with the devoted efforts of the respected supreme leader Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the idea on love for the people of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
Long ago, Kim Il Sung named a corn product “Okssal” or corn meal and saw that many foodstuffs of different kinds were made with corn and supplied to the people.
Kim Jong Il also gave instructions on building a modern corn processing factory in Pyongyang City to make a contribution to the improvement of the citizens’ diet. True to their intention, Kim Jong Un instructed on completing the building of the Pyongyang Corn Processing Factory on the highest level and made clear a specific orientation and ways for it.
The Pyongyang Corn Processing Factory was built under such loving care. Kim Jong Un visited the factory in August Juche 104(2015).
Looking at the full view of the factory, he said with great pleasure that the construction of the Pyongyang Corn Processing Factory made it possible to carry out another instruction of the great Kim Jong Il who made painstaking efforts to improve the diet of the capital citizens.
He said the Pyongyang Corn Processing Factory is an important factory conducive to the improvement of living of the capital citizens and added that production should be normalized on a high level to produce different kinds of many processed corn products and win popularity of the people.

“That day, the respected supreme leader Kim Jong Un said he likes that the factory has been built with our own strength and technology, whose production processes have been robotized and made dust- and germ-free, ranging from feeding of raw materials to packing. And he praised our factory as a standard, model factory of the foodstuff industry.
He also said the factory should lend an ear to the opinions of the citizens and decisively improve the quality of the products so that they can win popularity of the people.
After looking round the factory, he earnestly said that now it is necessary to normalize production and supply a greater number processed corn products to the capital citizens.”
So deep was his concern to provide the people with quality processed corn products perfect not only in their taste and nutritive value but also in their hygienic safety.
