Established in 1946, the Korean Documentary and Science Film Studio has been a key player in documenting North Korea’s history. Their story began with the production of “Our Construction” in 1946, followed by the first sound documentary, “People’s Committee,” in 1947. During the 1950-1953 Fatherland Liberation War, the studio played a vital role in producing documentaries to support the war effort.
