There was the 11th International Legal Forum of the Asia-Pacific on September 30 through video conferencing.
Attending the forum were delegations and delegates from various countries including the delegation of the Central Court of the DPRK headed by President Cha Myong Nam.
Congratulatory speeches were made.
The head of the DPRK delegation said in his speech that the forum serves as a significant and important occasion in promoting the common understanding of laws and practical activities of regional countries for achieving steady prosperity and development, noting that the Asia-Pacific regional countries are faced with the joint task to cope with worldwide challenges though they have differing development history and economic conditions.
He appealed to each country and region to get united in the idea of independence, peace and friendship and boost the legal cooperation for peace, stability and prosperity, expressing the belief that the forum will make a due contribution to cementing the scientific foundation for just and fair law.

A member of the DPRK’s delegation referred to the fact that the DPRK provides a legal foundation for acknowledging the judgments of foreign courts and for approving and executing arbitration decisions conducive to court activity and economic development of regional countries, and that it protects legitimate rights, interests and management activities of foreign investment enterprises and creates a legal environment favorable for international economic cooperation.
He said that an important matter essential for ensuring the stability of international economic cooperation is to wage a joint struggle to cope with the U.S. arrogant moves, calling upon every country in the region to further boost the international cooperation and solidarity for achieving the regional security and economic prosperity in the face of the U.S. reckless and hostile moves toward the DPRK.
He said that the Central Court of the DPRK would continue to provide an international legal guarantee for the settlement of economic disputes with regional countries on the principles of respect for sovereignty, equality and mutual benefits in the future, too, emphasizing that the DPRK would steadily develop the legal support and cooperation with countries aspiring after sound economic development of the region.
