The 19th Kimilsungia Festival closed with due ceremony at the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Exhibition on Thursday. It opened to celebrate the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop, Vice-Premier Jon Kwang Ho and officials of the Festival Organizing Committee and the units which displayed the flowers of the sun, citizens, school youth and children, a congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan for celebrating the Day of the Sun, staff members of the Indonesian embassy here, members of the association for disseminating and supporting the immortal flowers and foreign guests.

Diploma of the Kimilsungia Festival Prize was awarded to Kim Song Dok-led unit of the Korean People’s Army, the Ministry of the People’s Armed Forces, Kim Il Sung University and other units which proved successful in the festival, persons who made contributions to the festival, exemplary cultivators, former unconverted long-term prisoners and other participants.

It also went to the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, the Indonesian embassy and foreigners.

Diplomas were awarded to the explainers who deeply impressed the visitors, and certificate to individuals who participated in the festival.

Kim Chang Do, chairman of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee, in his closing address said the 19th Kimilsungia Festival took place with splendor amid deep interest and great expectation of the Korean people and the world progressives.

He said Kimilsungia, a national treasure of Songun Korea and pride of the nation, would remain in full bloom for all ages with the august name of Kim Il Sung.
